BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH A WAR CRIMES SUSPECT WAS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY IN ŠEKOVIĆI
04.06.2014. 15:10The suspect is under investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and is suspected of having, as a member of the Military Police unit Šekovići operating within the Brčko Brigade, committed the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians under Article 173 of the CC BiH.
He is suspected of having killed three Bosniaks during May 1993 in the "Lovac" facility located in Šekovići, which served as the detention unit of the Military Police in Šekovići, as well as of having subjected detainees of the aforementioned facility to inhumane treatment during the period from January to September 1993.
The suspect shall, within the legal deadline, be handed over to the Assigned Prosecutor who will, following the questioning of the suspect, make a decision concerning the motion for remand in custody.
