CUSTODY MOTION FILED FOR SEVEN PERSONS

During the past few months, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Slovenia led a joint, parallel investigation against a number of persons from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia, during which special investigative activities were employed resulting with the identification of a number of perpetrators of illicit international trafficking in narcotic drugs.

In order to perpetrate the criminal offences the suspects, organized drug production in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia. Following the collection of evidence simultaneous arrests were made in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia. During the search two drug production laboratories were found, one in Velika Kladuša with about 100 plants and one in Ljubljana with more than 800 plants of ("Cannabis sativa-L"), Marijuana "Skunk."

A total of 8 persons were arrested in BiH, while in the Republic of Slovenia 2 persons were deprived of liberty.

Arrests began during the trial in the case v. Ramo Brkić et al. because S.K. resided in the Republic of Slovenia during the commission of the criminal offenses and has regularly appeared before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Arrest operation began at the moment S.K. and S.Š. entered the courtroom, and the laboratory was discovered afterwards.

Investigation of the Prosecutor's Offices of BiH and the Republic of Slovenia, continues in the direction of issuing an indictment, and the suspects S.K., S.Š., L.R., A.F., Dž.P., M.K. and M.G. were questioned as suspects. A motion was filed with the Court of BiH to render the aforementioned suspects in custody on grounds stipulated in Article 132, Paragraph 1, Subparagraphs a), b) and c) of the CPC.
