(22.06.2012. 12:55)

Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed a custody motion to the Court of BiH for Predrag MILISAVLJEVIĆ, who is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

Team III Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's office of BiH filed a motion to the Court of BiH to remand the suspect Predrag MILISAVLJEVIĆ, born on May 27, 1958 in Višegrad, residing in Spain - the Canary Islands, into custody.

The suspect Predrag MILISAVLJEVIĆ was, following the arrest, handed over to the Assigned Prosecutor, who has questioned him as a suspect and subsequently filed a custody motion to the Court of BiH on grounds stipulated in Article 132, Paragraph 1, Subparagraphs a), b) and d) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH.

The remand in custody for the suspect was requested due to the risk of flight and the risk that the suspect could hinder the investigation and influence the accomplices in the committed criminal offense and due to the fact that it is an offense punishable by imprisonment in duration of 10 years or more. Due to the manner of perpetration of the committed criminal offense and the consequences thereof the remand in custody is deemed necessary, as well as due to the fact that the release of the suspect could result with a serious threat to public order.

Predrag MILISAVLJEVIĆ is suspected of having, along with several other members of the Police and the Army of Republika Srpska in June 1992, participated in the forcible relocation of approximately 450 non-Serbs from the territory of the municipality of Višegrad and the killings of more than 40 non-Serbs at the Paklenik pit in Sokolac municipality.

Custody motion was filed with the Court of BiH.
