INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST TWO PERSONS FOR COUNTERFEITING OF MONEY
(15.05.2012. 08:53)

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against two persons who are alleged to have committed the criminal offense of Counterfeiting of Money under Article 205, Paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 29 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

Prosecutor of Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against the following persons:

1.   Denis ALAGIĆ, born on January 9, 1984 in Banja Luka, residing in Sanski Most, with prior convictions, citizen of BiH, and

2.   Aldin ZEC, aka "Zec", born on October 10, 1982 in Banja Luka, residing in Sanski Most, citizen of BiH.

The accused are charged to have, on December 26, 2011 after the accused ALAGIĆ acquired two (2) counterfeit banknotes in denominations of 50,00KM (BAM), in a manner known to him, driven together in a motor vehicle from Sanski to Mrkonjić Grad where they put one of the aforementioned banknotes into circulation as genuine, by way of Denis Alagić paying for the goods they selected together in a bookstore with one of the counterfeit banknotes.

As alleged in the indictment, the accused Aldin ZEC has attempted to put the other banknote, well aware that it was a counterfeit, into circulation on the same day by paying for the merchandize in the butcher shop. However he failed because the butcher noted that the banknote is a counterfeit and returned it to the accused. The accused then tore the counterfeit banknote and threw it away to prevent being detected in the commission of this criminal offense. During that time the accused Denis ALAGIĆ was waiting for him in his car parked near the butcher shop.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
