The donation is a continuation of cooperation between the Registry and the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands which has donated 5,9 million EUR to this project from 2005 until the end of 2009.

In a discussion with the representatives of the Registry the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands emphasised the importance of prosecuting all suspects in the cases of war crimes as well as fighting against all types of organised crime, economic crime and corruption. H.E. Ambassador Sweder van Voorst tot Voorst and representatives of the Registry also stressed the importance of assuring the necessary conditions for the work of the Court and the Prosecutors Office BiH.

They rely on the BiH authorities to recognise the importance of these institutions and in line with that provide conditions for their smooth operations beyond the transition period.

On behalf of the Registry, Ms. Emina Šibić, member of the Management Committee of the Registry, thanked Ambassador van Voorst tot Voorst for this valuable financial contribution.
