CHIEF PROSECUTOR MET THE AMBASSADOR OF IRELAND

H.E. the Ambassador of Ireland paid his first visit to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH after the opening of the Embassy in Sarajevo and was welcomed to BiH by the Chief Prosecutor.
The topics discussed at the meeting related to activities in strengthening the rule of law and the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Chief Prosecutor Kajganić informed the Ambassador about the efforts and activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in the fight against the most serious criminal offenses of organized crime, corruption, hate speech, as well as other cases within the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
The meeting parties also discussed international and regional cooperation and activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, as well as possibilities for cooperation with Irish partner institutions.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
