  • ON ORDER OF PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH, OPERATION IN COMBATING INTERNATIONAL ENTICEMENT TO PROSTITUTION IN MOSTAR AREA CARRIED OUT

A prosecutor and an investigator of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption are off in the field in Mostar where they are coordinating SIPA police officers’ activities related to the deprivation of freedom and searches of premises used by the suspects for international enticement to prostitution.

One search was carried out in the area of Banja Luka, where cooperation was achieved with the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior.

Through a lengthy and thorough investigation, evidence was gathered that two Ukrainian citizens, taking advantage of the difficult situation of the victims and injured parties – girls from Ukraine, organised the bringing of Ukrainian citizens to the Mostar area.

Having found accommodation in Mostar, the suspects organised the supply of sexual services in a hotel in the Mostar area, and took the money from the victims.

According to the evidence gathered, the commission of these criminal offences took place over a period of at least six months, during which time the suspects acquired a large amount of unlawful property gain.

After interviewing the suspects, the case prosecutor will decide on further activities in the case.

The investigation in this case is being continued intensively.
