INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR THE CRIMINAL OFFENSE OF ILLICIT TRADE IN EXCISE PRODUCTS
18.05.2017. 15:22- ALEKSANDAR JOVIČIĆ, born in 1978 in Bijeljina, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia.
According to the allegations in the Indictment, Jovičić is charged with transporting a larger quantity of dry cut tobacco, on 12 February 2017, which was not labelled with excise stamps as prescribed by the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and which he intended to put into circulation.
In the afternoon of the above-mentioned day, in the area of the Municipality of Kurpa na Uni, this accused person was transporting 153.972 kilograms of dry cut tobacco in the trunk of a passenger’s motor vehicle, which was packed in PVC bags.
During the inspection of the said motor vehicle, authorized officers of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina seized the aforementioned tobacco.
This accused person is charged with the commission of the criminal offense of Illicit Trade in Excise Products, as referred to in Article 210a, paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 26 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
