INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ORGANIZED CRIME AND SMUGGLING OF SEVERAL DOZEN KILOGRAMS OF NARCOTIC DRUGS

Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption has issued an Indictment against thirteen (13) persons charged with the criminal offense of Organized Crime, as referred to in Article 250, Paragraph 3, in conjunction with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, as referred to in Article 195, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all that in conjunction with Article 54 of the same Code.  
  • INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ORGANIZED CRIME AND SMUGGLING OF SEVERAL DOZEN KILOGRAMS OF NARCOTIC DRUGS

These accused persons are charged with acting as a group for organized crime, from April to September of 2013, and conducting illicit international trafficking in Heroin and Cocaine narcotic drugs to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina further to the territory of the Republic of Croatia.

According to the evidence collected and results of investigation, the first accused Adis Burić organized and led the group for organized crime for the purpose of acquiring unlawful material gain and he engaged other members of the group who also intended to acquire unlawful material gain; with that intention, guided by the common interest, they became members of the group for organized crime and they made decisive contribution to its activities.

These accused persons were usually using coded terms denoting the type, quantity and price of the narcotic drug, as well as the place and time of the meeting for the purpose of taking over the bought Heroin and Cocaine narcotic drugs and paying their price.

On several occasions, these accused persons smuggled between three (3) kilograms and two hundred and twenty (220) grams of the Heroin narcotic drug, as well as six hundred and fifty (650) grams of the Cocaine narcotic drug.     

This Indictment is a result of the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the joint and parallel investigation with police and judicial authorities of the Republic of Croatia, during which investigation significant international cooperation was established in fighting the smuggling of heavy narcotic drugs.

The Indictment includes thirteen (13) accused persons from the territories of Mostar, Posušje, Čapljina, Široki Brijeg, Čitluk and Sarajevo and it is supported by the total number of one hundred and fourteen (114) pieces of evidence and accompanied by the proposal to hear twelve (12) witnesses and expert witnesses.

The Indictment has been issued against the following persons:

1.   Adis Burić aka Burke, born on 25 August 1976 in Mostar, where he also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, currently in the Penal and Correctional Establishment in Zenica where he serves his sentence of imprisonment rendered earlier by the Verdict of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

2.   Danko Dragoje aka Lepa, born on 04 April 1974 in Mostar, where he also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia,

3.   Edin Arnautović aka Edo, born on 13 August 1980 in Sarajevo, where he also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

4.   Semir Habibija aka Habe, born on 05 July 1966 in Mostar, where he also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

5.   Petar Bošnjak aka Pače, born on 02 January 1960 in Posušje, where he also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, 

6.   Mario Bošnjak aka Pane, born on 05 July 1988 in Mostar, a resident of Posušje, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

7.   Denis Tabaković, born on 28 January 1979 in Čapljina, where he also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

8.   Igor Lečić aka Lećo, born on 16 August 1977 in Mostar, a resident of Čapljina, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

9.   Slađan Dragićević aka Srebrenica, born on 14 June 1978 in Čapljina, where he also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

10.         Almir Denja aka Kefa, born on 09 November 1977 in Mostar, where he also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

11.         Valentina Sulić aka Tina, born on 24 September 1984 in Mostar, where she also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

12.          Josip Ćužić, born on 17 June 1978 in Široki Brijeg, where he also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and

13.         Mirko Primorac aka Jana, born on 14 February 1957 in Čitluk, where he also resides, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.

The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
