CHIEF PROSECUTOR RESPONDS TO THE FALSE STATEMENTS PUBLISHED IN THE MAGAZINE SLOBODNA BOSNA

26.09.2014. 10:01
  • CHIEF PROSECUTOR RESPONDS TO THE FALSE STATEMENTS PUBLISHED IN THE MAGAZINE SLOBODNA BOSNA

FOR: Magazine "Slobodna Bosna"

        Att. Editor-in-Chief, Senad Avdić

Response to false allegations listed in an article published in the issue dated September 25, 2014

Dear Sir,

In the latest issue of the magazine "Slobodna Bosna" an article was published on page 8 in which you have presented a number of inaccurate and untrue statements in connection with the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

Specifically, the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH - Goran Salihović never did attend the symposium on international terrorism in the United States and the Acting President of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo – Ms. Janja Jovanović did not travel with the Chief Prosecutor to the United States.

Incidentally, allow us inform you that Ms. Jovanović is not the Acting President but the President of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.

In just a few rows of the article you’ve stated a series of misinformation and untruths, hence the Chief Prosecutor hereby asks you Mr. Senad to call him and ask him personally if there is something you want to know about the Chief Prosecutor as to avoid publishing misinformation.

In accordance with the provisions of the Press Code, we request that you publish this response in the first next issue of the magazine.

Respectfully,

                                                                                       Boris Grubešić

Head of the Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH
