Cooperation in the prosecution of war crimes was discussed at the meeting as well as transfer of cases from the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH to Entity Prosecutor’s Offices in accordance with the National War Crimes Strategy.
The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the Republic Prosecutor’s Office of RS have a very good, collegial cooperation in all areas, especially in the area of war crimes.
It was agreed that a joint meeting of the Entity Chief Prosecutors, Chief Prosecutor of the Brčko District and the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH will soon be held probably in late March or early April.
This meeting will involve discussions on expediting the pace of work on war crimes cases and transfer of a large number of less complex cases to Entity Prosecutor’s Offices for processing, which is in line with the National War Crimes Strategy and the recommendations of the structural dialogue on judicial reform.
