THE ACCUSED ALEKSANDAR LUČIĆ (1982) ENTERED INTO A PLEA AGREEMENT ADMITTING GUILT

The accused Aleksandar Lučić entered into a Plea Agreement admitting guilt for the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, as referred to in Article 195, Paragraph 1, in conjunction with Article 29 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The accused Aleksandar Lučić, born on 28 October 1982 in Trebinje, where he also resides, with prior convictions, citizen of BiH and the Republic of Serbia, entered into a Plea Agreement admitting guilt for the criminal offense charged and he concluded a Plea Agreement with a Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

By virtue of signing the Plea Agreement, the accused Lučić fully admitted committing the criminal offense he is charged with by the Indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued on 16 December 2013.

The accused person is charged with becoming a member of an organized group which was organized for the purpose of unlawful international trafficking, transfer, transport and further sale of narcotic drug, and with having a defined role within this group which referred to taking over a larger quantity of Marijuana Skunk narcotic drug that came from the Republic of Montenegro and went to BiH through illegal border crossings.

Pursuant to the Plea Agreement, the Prosecutor, the Defense and the accused agree that a sentence of imprisonment for a term of 1 (one) year be imposed on the accused by the Court of BiH. 

The proposed sentence is consistent with the role of the accused in the commission of the criminal offense, as well as with the Verdicts rendered against other accused persons in this case.

By signing this Plea Agreement, the accused confirms to be aware of the content of the Indictment issued by the BiH Prosecutor's Office. At the same time, he confirms to give his plea statement voluntarily, consciously and with understanding, without any coercion or persuasion.

Moreover, by signing the Plea Agreement, the accused person accepts to testify on all the facts known to him in this criminal case and against all other perpetrators known to him, as well on the criminal offenses he himself may have taken part in. In that sense, the accused agrees to testify before the Court of BiH when summoned to do so by that Court.

The accused Aleksandar Lučić takes upon himself an obligation to cover the costs arising from these criminal proceedings, in the amount that will be determined by the Court of BiH.

With this Plea Agreement, the accused person waives his right to a trial and the right to appeal to a criminal sanction imposed upon him by the Court of BiH on the basis of this Plea Agreement.  

The Plea Agreement was submitted to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
