A MEMBER OF THE FBIH PARLIAMENT DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH. ARREST MADE IN TUZLA DURING THE HANDOVER OF THE BRIBE IN THE AMOUNT OF BAM 20.000.00

Based on the findings of ISA BiH and by order of the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, SIPA officers arrested one O.M. - a member of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina,  in the area of Tuzla.

These activities were carried out on the basis of reports of the Intelligence and Security Agency (ISA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the actual arrest was made by SIPA officers. Activities were carried out in accordance with the order of the Court of BiH.

The individidual O.M. is under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and is suspected of organized crime in conjunction with other criminal offenses, including taking bribes from one person in the amount of BAM 20.000.00 to handle the working status and the actual employment.

The Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH as well as ISA BiH agents and SIPA officers, acted in coordination and carried out the operation of the arrest in a hotel in Tuzla during the handover of bribe in the amount of BAM 20.000.00 in marked bills.

Following the arrest the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, ISA BiH and SIPA continue in the direction of detecting all persons involved in organized crime and illegal activities.

At this point we can not provide more information to the public therefore we ask the BiH public and media for their understanding.

This operation demonstrates the determination of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, police and security agencies, in the efforts to react effectively and quickly in such cases, and to carry out complex operations in just 48 hours. This operation is also a message that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH is ready to combat organized crime and corruption in BiH and that no one will be untouchable in this fight.

We invite all citizens to report corrupt activities to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and police agencies.
