Representative of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH presented on the history and development of the Prosecutor's Office, which celebrates 10 years of its existence this year, as well as the internal organization of the Prosecutor's Office and the Special Department for War Crimes and statistical data related to previous work on war crimes cases.

To better understand the work of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the audience was presented with the complexity of the work on war crimes cases in which it is often necessary to hear dozens of witnesses and gather evidence including several hundred pieces of material within just one case and such cases relate to events that occurred 18 years ago or more.

The roundtable was attended by approximately 40 representatives of the local community, including representatives of local authorities, representatives of associations of victims of war crimes from the area of Livno, representatives of police and judicial structures, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations, the media and concerned citizens.

Roundtable participants had the opportunity to ask representatives of the Prosecutor's Office about everything they were interested in within the domain of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

Roundtable in Livno was organized by the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Republika Srpska with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH regularly participate in outreach round tables and conferences aiming to improve understanding of its role and tasks that are held throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina and are very important for cooperation with the associations of victims and local communities.
