7th REGIONAL CONFERENCE OF STATE PROSECUTORS
23.05.2013. 15:26Together with Mr. Goran Salihović, Chief Prosecutor, the 7th Regional Conference of State Prosecutors is attended by Mr. Mladen Bajić, Chief State Attorney of the State Attorney’s Office of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Vladimir Vukčević, Chief Prosecutor of the War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Serbia, and Mr. Serge Brammertz, ICTY Chief Prosecutor with his associates.
The topics of the 7th Regional Conference of State Prosecutors pertain to the consideration of cooperation between Prosecutor’s Offices of the countries in the region in prosecuting war crimes perpetrators.
At this expert Conference, Mr. Goran Salihović, Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will have his presentation on the attitude of State Prosecutor’s Offices towards victims and the right of the public with respect to the criminal offenses of war crimes.
Among other issues, the Conference participants will discuss International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals for former Yugoslavia and Rwanda, cooperation based on regional war crimes agreements- current results and proposals for future cooperation, as well as the issue of negotiating the European Union accession and closing the Chapter 23- Judiciary and Fundamental Rights – War Crimes.
