INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST FIVE PERSONS FOR ILLICIT TRADE IN EXCISE PRODUCTS

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against five persons charging them with the criminal offense of Illicit trade in Excise Products under Article 210a, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

Prosecutor of Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against the following persons:

-        Miladin JOKIĆ AKA "Baja", born on January 10, 1966 in Maglaj residing in Doboj, BiH citizen;

-        Ljubiša MIHAJLOVIĆ born on December 6, 1976 in Tuzla, residing in Doboj, BiH citizen;

-        Milan MIHAJLOVIĆ, born on January 1, 1946 in Lukavac, residing in Doboj, BiH citizen;

-        Ljiljana GRANIĆ, born on December 9, 1954 in Sarajevo, residing in Zvornik, BiH citizen and

-        Slaviša GRANIĆ, born on July 7, 1981 in Sarajevo, residing in Zvornik, BiH citizen.

The accused are charged to have during November and December 2010, after the accused Miladin JOKIĆ has repeatedly negotiated and organized the purchase and sale of various kinds of cigarettes with a citizen of the Republic of Serbia from Mali Zvornik, attempted to illegally put on the market i.e. sell products that were not labeled with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As alleged in the indictment, they have acquired large quantities of different  cigarette brands i.e. Walter Wolf, Marlboro, Winston, Pall Mal, Veve, Davidoff, Classic, Bond and Avangard labeled with tax stamps of the Republic of Serbia, from the aforementioned citizen of the Republic of Serbia from Mali Zvornik.

The accused are charged to have attempted  to put on the market products that are not labeled with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the legislation of BiH, thereby committing the criminal offense of Illicit trade in Excise Products under Article 210a, Paragraph 1, in conjunction with articles 26 and 29 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
