CHIEF PROSECUTOR MET WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF THE KINGDOM OF SWEDEN TO BIH
10.04.2013. 15:15Cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH as well as other judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina was discussed at the meeting.
Chief Prosecutor informed the Ambassador about the current activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH on strengthening the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as its efforts to ensure effective prosecution of perpetrators who have committed criminal offenses that are under the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
Ambassador Hedberg pointed out that the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden has always had good cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH as well as that the Swedish Government has greatly supported and helped establish the judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina through grants and other forms of assistance.
Chief Prosecutor expressed his gratitude for the support as well as his belief that the good cooperation will continue in the future hoping that the Kingdom of Sweden shall support the work of the judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the future, particularly in the area of the planned future increase in capacities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
Further cooperation and support of the Swedish Government was agreed at the meeting in the area of establishing and strengthening the rule of law and judicial institutions.
